R. D. Hance
Born an outdoorsman, R. D. spent the better part of his formative years connecting with the wild animals and nature of Florida. His mother devoted her career to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, opening the door for R. D. to learn and participate in the preservation of Florida’s natural resources.
Growing up in Florida meant spending a lot of time at the water and whether that was fresh or salt mattered little. R. D. surfed the waves of Ponce Inlet, canoed down the Silver River and fished the lily pads of Orange Lake while growing up. Every chance he got, R. D. found a way to enjoy his passions.
R. D. was inspired by nature and even worked as an ‘entertainer’ at Florida’s Silver Springs, an attraction that focused on Florida wildlife and nature. Though the venue is no longer open, he fondly remembers his time caring for and teaching about creatures like snakes, alligators and endangered birds such as the American Bald Eagle.
As R. D. begins writing (literally) another chapter in his life as an author at DiveIn.com, he’ll be putting all his expertise to work. He looks forward to providing his insights, as well as continuing to learn.
