Where to buy Brabus x Awake Shadow Jetboard:
Awakeboards.com
Take a motorized surfboard from the leader in electric surfing and tune it up to look and perform like something a superhero rides on and you get the Brabas x Awake Shadow jetboard.
Built on the Ravik 3 platform, a new engine with a Brabus software update unleashes something stunning to behold and thrilling to surf on. It’s almost too overpowering to stay atop with a sick 0-3 second acceleration to 50 km/h.
There are only 77 boards in this limited series edition. We borrowed a demo to see what the Brabus touch can do to an already powerful board.
Things we like:
-
Acceleration is noticeable and adrenaline-rife!
-
Jet placement allows for smoother ride over small chop
-
It's just so lovely a board! Looks and feels so utterly premium.
-
Transport is smart and easy
-
Thumb thruster is great
Things we don't like:
-
Switching bindings from regular to goofy leaves room for improvement

Brabus Power: A Boost for Experienced Riders
This board boasts a revamped engine and software developed by Brabus, known for their high-performance vehicles. While the core build is based on the reliable Awake Ravik 3, the Brabus tweaks take things up a notch.
Our test rides confirmed the exhilarating acceleration. We didn’t measure the 0-50 km/h, but we could really feel the difference. The new “Brabus mode” will surely put a smile on the face of experienced riders seeking a powerful and fast ride. However, if you’re a beginner, this mode will be a bit too much to handle.
We started out on the Shadow without the Brabus mode to see if the engine upgrades made any difference on their own. THEY DID. Acceleration is such that you need to crouch lower to stay on the board when you punch the speeder under your thumb.
The Coolest Jetboard
The Brabus x Awake retains the user-friendly Click-to-Ride system and the comfortable deck pad from the Ravik 3. This makes getting started on the water a breeze, even for less experienced surfers.

With the wheels on the bag, getting to the water is easier than most e-surfs and e-foils too. If we would criticize anything it would be that we didn’t get a Brabus carrying bag to match up with the slick and potent colors.

The Verdict: Thrilling Ride, Exclusive Price Tag
The Brabus x Awake electric surfboard lives up to its promise of an exciting ride. Leaning into turns
The Brabus-developed engine injects a serious dose of power, making it ideal for experienced riders who crave speed and carving maneuvers. Beginners might find it a bit too much to handle at first. On calm waters, eventually, everyone is going to want to push the envelope faster and faster.
Our main issue with the Brabus is the same challenge we note with all motorized surfboards: ride time. We only managed a little more than 40 minutes in glassy conditions and by our lightest rider. That’s where efoils are more efficient, getting as much as an hour and a half if not more.
The only other issue we had was that we had to return the Shadow to Awake. Better to have loved and lost…
With limited production numbers and the Brabus branding, this board definitely falls into the luxury category. So, if you’re looking for an exclusive and powerful electric surfboard experience, the Brabus x Awake might be your unicorn.
Half of these beautiful boards have already been sold. If you’ve got a spot in your yacht garage for something special, you better act fast. On the day of our riding, Awake’s Daniel Aronsson told us how fast the Shadow jetboards are getting snapped up.
