Koru - Review 2026
Koru:
The size of the Koru has been making news since before it was launched. It is the Jeff Bezos yacht, after all, costing a reported $500 million.
Built by Oceanco in the Netherlands, the yacht was so large that the yard believed they would partially dismantle Rotterdam’s historic Koningshaven Bridge to get it to sea. Now that she has been launched, Koru makes the news routinely as it “anchors with tankers as it’s too big for port.”
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is the sole owner of this beast of the seas. It is the largest pure sailing yacht in the world: the only larger one, Sailing Yacht A, is designed to be a “sail-assisted yacht.” The Koru has two engines for maneuvering into port and in light air, but she is designed to sail on the wind for ultimate independence.
Features include three jacuzzis, a swimming pool, and classic good looks flying in the face of other megayachts on the water today. It also includes the Abeona, a 75-meter (246-foot) support vessel with enough range to follow Koru from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean. The Abeona houses a crew of 45 and has its own submarine.
