What’s in a number? For the Lamborghini yacht, it’s all about the number 63. Most obviously, the yacht is 63 feet long and has a max speed of 63 knots on the water. Why? Because Ferruccio Lamborghini founded his car company in 1963, and this boat is nothing if not an ode to those iconic supercars.

As a final flourish, Tecnomar will only make 63 of these limited-edition yachts. Originally announced in 2020, the 63 made waves a year later when hull number one of the supercar yacht was delivered to renowned (or perhaps infamous) Mixed Martial Arts fighter Conor Macgregor.

The boat is styled to closely resemble the Lamborghini Siàn supercar, with big and small elements reminding you of that all-important fact. Lamborghini fans will need no reminding, but the $3.3 million Siàn is also a limited production masterpiece, with only 63 being built.

But this is no simple branding collaboration between luxury goods companies. Lamborghini’s design team worked closely with Tecnomar, a boutique yacht builder of the Italian Sea Group. Everything from the aesthetic design to performance and handling was tuned to feel like a Lamborghini.

Lamborghini 63 Design

It’s obvious that the Lamborghini 63 yacht is unlike anything else on the water—in fact, that’s how it’s designed to be. This yacht was the brainchild of the famous Italian supercar maker, and they partnered with an equally notable yard to create their one-of-a-kind superyacht.

Lamborghini DNA is everywhere on this boat. From the outside, the angular lines and hexagonal shapes are obvious. But that’s not where it stops. Look closely, and you’ll notice that the stern line chocks look like Lambo exhaust pipes, the bow and stern lights look like auto lights, and the air vents look like they’ve come right off the car. There are integrated LED accent lights throughout and hexagon-shaped grab handles.

Step up to the helm, and you’re in for more Lamborghini treats. The steering wheel and dual start/stop buttons are right from the car’s dash. The instrument panel is made to look just like the car’s, with the same fonts and layout. To complete the feel, the pilot’s chair is right out of the Siàn.

But these aesthetics are meaningless if the boat doesn’t drive and feel like a Lamborghini. To achieve that, Tecnomar ensured that every yacht component was carefully planned to benefit its performance. While the boat is full of features befitting a watercraft of this size and class, this is truly a performance boat.

Working from the engine compartment forward, the designers measured and weighed every component. The result is an everything-you-need, nothing-you-don’t approach that keeps the weight down and the speed up.

Even the toilet seat is made of carbon fiber to cut weight, just like Conor MacGregor cuts weight for an MMA fight.

The boat has a gyro stabilizer and a generator, but only smaller models. There is no bow thruster–this is done to shave weight. Instead, Tecnomar uses a joystick controller on the dual engines for effective maneuvering, similar to pod drive systems.

Weight savings are at the heart of this 24-ton yacht. Its weight might seem like a lot to car fans, but it’s extremely light in the world of 63-foot motor yachts. No expense was spared; for example, the entire hull structure and all components are made from carbon fiber. Faux teak is used in place of the real thing, not only for the modern look but to keep it as light as possible.

The engine compartment is another unique feature of this vessel. Where many boats consider the engine room a below-decks affair, the Lambo yacht brings its dual V12, German-built MAN diesel engines front and center. Each engine produces 2,000 horsepower thanks to its dual wastegate turbochargers and common rail injection system.

Powerful as they are, these beastly engines are also thirsty drinking up 400 liters per hour each!

The access hatch, which comprises most of the aft deck lounge, lifts on hydraulics to provide an expansive view of the vessel’s inner workings. The engine room is a sight to behold, much more like looking under a Lambo hood than looking at a yacht’s engine room.

Lamborghini Boat Features

The overall design and aesthetics of the boat are clearly of Lamborghini’s caliber, but what about the small touches? Those notes of class and luxury make you know you’re sitting in, driving, and owning one of the most amazing automobiles on the planet—can those little touches be replicated in a yacht?

Throughout the boat, the owners completely customize colors and materials with the Lamborghini Ad Personam program. If you already have your Siàn, you can make the yacht match it precisely. Carbon fiber skins, leather, and Alcantara are used throughout to mimic the luxury automotive interior you’d expect.

On deck, the central helm—or pilot cockpit, as Tecnomar calls it—dominates the cockpit area. Aft of this is a small galley area with a fridge, then a large dining table area, with aft and forward-facing benches built around a hexagon-shaped table.

The entire area is protected from the elements by frameless side windows on the gunwale. A large carbon fiber t-top overhead has a skylight and full front windshield to keep the 63-knot wind out of your eyes.

Aft of this is the lift-up engine cowl, which is a large sun pad lounge. The forward deck features another large lounge pad. The anchor locker is completely hidden under an access hatch on the bow.

While the deck layout remains constant, three layouts are available for down below. Interior accommodation can be set up with one cabin, two cabins, or a lounge version. The single-cabin version features a large private stateroom with a king-sized berth at the forward end of the boat.

There is a walk-through galley to starboard and a head (bathroom) on the port side.

On the two-cabin version, a second small cabin has two single berths that can be connected to make one double berth. The same king-sized master berth is forward. Hull windows provide plenty of light in both staterooms.

The lounge version is unique. With an open design concept down below, the yacht is appointed with large sofas and a wardrobe. It features a day head for guests and a private head for the owner.

Supercar Yacht Amenities

The Tecnomar for Lamborghini yacht is full of supercar-inspired small touches that stand out. Carbon fiber, suede, and Alcantara fabrics line the boat from stem to stern. It’s sometimes challenging to find where the obsession with weight-cutting ends and the luxury begins. Does the carbon fiber toilet actually help this yacht move faster, or is it just a classy reminder that you’re on a Lambo boat?

But you likely don’t need reminding. The Lamborghini badge is mounted on the prow and stern quarters. You’ll also find it embroidered on the helm seats and the walls of the owner’s cabin. The Y’s and hexagons, so closely associated with the Lambo design, are placed everywhere. Even the portlight above the master stateroom is shaped like a Lambo hood badge.

But, while the yacht’s amenities are beautiful and the fit-and-finish is superb, it is not the most luxuriously appointed yacht you’ll find. The galley is basic; the dining and living spaces are sparse. You won’t find large appliances here, like refrigerators, freezers, or standard marine cookers.

The simplicity of amenities comes down to its purpose built performance profile. Nonetheless, there’s not questioning the quality of the trimmings.

True to the boat’s automotive heritage, this vessel can zip from port to port with speed and comfort. Ideal cruising speed is around 40 knots (46 mph). Once in port, however, you’ll dine in the fine restaurants and maybe even stay at a top-tier resort. The accommodations of the Lambo boat are sufficient for spending a night or two on board, but they’re not on par with a blue water yacht that you’ll want to spend day after day cruising on.

Lambo Boat Price/Quality

The price tag of the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 has been listed for anywhere between 3.4 and 4.5 million US dollars. A lot of variation has to do with the amenities and customizations chosen by the owner, which can drive the price up considerably. Introductory pricing in 2020 was also slightly lower than what you’ll find listed today.

The quality of the Lamborghini yacht is unmistakable and second to none. From its design aesthetic and use of the best materials and components available, this yacht is a work of art and a collector’s item.

But, as with the Siàn, the Lambo yacht is not the right yacht for most people. Yachts aren’t cars, after all. No one buys a Lamborghini to sleep in or take long road trips. A yacht should be about overnights, luxury meals, entertainment, and long cruises.
