Lund 1870 Predator - Review 2025

Getting the upper hand on both fish and ducks with the rugged Lund 1870 Predator is what designers of this jon boat had in mind.

This all-welded utility comes in a center console (CC), side console (SC), and tiller layout. The CC model comes standard with port and starboard rod storage, console rod holders, a heavy-duty leaning post, a 23-gallon bow livewell (not available on the tiller floor plan), and enough room to fit all your gear.

All three models feature Lund’s SportTrak/ProTrak gunnel system, which allows you to attach any hunting hardware or accessories to it. Plus, standard non-skid floor and gunnel liner, and four color options to choose from.

The 1870 Predator delivers steady handling and maneuverability and is quick to get on plane. Thanks to its Mod-V hull design–V in the bow, flattening out toward the aft–this Jon boat excels in both skinny and rough waters.

With the Lund-designed hulls that minimize teetering, casting or shooting from the platforms is a pleasure. This is one of the best new Jon boats.
