Where to buy Valhalla Boatworks V-46:
Valhalla Boatworks
Viking created a subsidiary company to sell a new breed of center console boats, including the Valhalla Boatworks V-46. VB has seven models, from the V-28 to the V-55. The company aims to do to the center console world what Viking has done to the sportfishing world. In other words, innovating and producing an outstanding product focused on tournament-level fishing.
The V-46 has a Michael Peters Yacht Design (MPYD) double-stepped hull and many classy little touches like the S-shaped shear and the slight tumblehome transom bustle. The recessed grab rails, teak toe rail, and incredibly high-quality upholstery work set this boat apart.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find standing headroom up to six feet, 7 inches. There’s a small but functional galley, a head, and a U-shaped dinette that turns into a double bunk with filler cushions.
Things we like:
-
Walk-around decks for bow-to-stern fishing
-
Engine-up draft of only 2 feet, 8 inches
-
Double-stepped hull for efficiency
-
Pronounced tumblehome and team trim give a classic look
-
Sunlounge and seating options for cruising and family outings
-
Air-conditioned cabin with convertible dinette and small galley
Things we don't like:
-
Cabin space limited for overnighting compared to other large center consoles
